We will be holding a Pack Hike on Saturday, June 6 and plan to hike the Kamananui Valley Trail with a plan to step off at 9 am.

The Kamananui Trail (also known as Kamananui Valley Road) is a peaceful, mostly flat, 8-mile round-trip hike. Located in the lush Moanalua Valley, it features historical ruins, petroglyphs, and 7 scenic stream crossings over historic cobblestone bridges before branching into more challenging ridge routes.

Key Highlights

Essential Tips

This will be a chance for the Pack to get together over the summer break and enjoy being outdoors. This is NOT compulsory for Scouts to attend, just for those that would like to particpate.

Please let the Outdoor Chair, Mr. Canaan, or the Cubmaster, Mr. Josh, know if you will be attending so the medical forms will be able to be brought on the hike. This is a BSA requirement for all Scout activities.

Alternate option

As an alternate option to the pack hike if you are unable to make it, please feel free to go on a walk or hike of your choosing as a family. If you choose the alternate option, please let your den leader know so they will be able to update Scoutbook for the Summertime Fun adventure and the respective outdoor adventure depending on the scout's rank.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr Canaan on 919 279 3365 or Mr Josh on 808 450 9685.
