Cub Scouts earn adventures that are specific to their grade and rank. A number of adventures must be completed to earn the badge of rank for each grade level. Completion of adventures is how the aims of character, citizenship, leadership, and personal fitness are developed. Scouts in second grade work toward the Wolf rank.

Your Scout is a Member of the Wolf Den
The rank of Wolf is the third rank a Cub can earn, and it’s typically achieved in the second grade.
The Wolf den is made up boys and girls who are in second grade with a parent or guardian encouraged to accompany their Wolf to all meetings.
Together parents and scouts will work to complete the required adventures. The goal is to complete these adventures before our Blue and Gold Banquet in February. We will then work on the electives throughout the spring.
Parents must also complete the exercises in the pamphlet “How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse”.
What you’ll need
Shirt: "Class A" shirt.
Belt: Official navy-blue web belt with metal buckle.
Cap: Official navy-blue Wolf cap.
Neckerchief: Wolf neckerchief.
Neckerchief Slide: Wolf neckerchief slide.
Wolf Handbook (optional, but highly recommended)
"Class B” pack T-shirt optional (see den leaders for where to buy the shirt from)
Official uniform pants, shorts, or skorts, and Cub Scout socks are optional.
We use WhatsApp for all Wolf communications to limit the pings on your phone. Please install WhatsApp to be kept up to date with the Pack and Den news.
The Scouting app allows you to track your Scout’s progress toward rank and you can even check off other electives and awards yourself that you might complete as a family. On the Scouting app, you can also add volunteer hours, camping nights, and hikes as well. Please install the Scouting app on your phone.
Once your Scout has earned a new adventure or award, we always try to get those pins and patches handed out as quickly as possible so they see the results of their hard work!
