12/13/2024.  One of the most cherished traditions of Pack 2831 during the holiday season is crafting holiday ornaments.  During the December Pack Meeting, the entire pack came together to create their own ornaments, adding another special touch to the Christmas tree.  Enjoy this recap, along with the full collection of P2831's holiday ornaments to date.  Wishing to all the Pack's families a joyful holiday season!  🎄✌️⚜️

12/08/2024.  8 Cub Scouts from our AOL dens completed the Cycling elective adventure this past weekend.  During part 2 of this adventure, they rode 10 miles from Varina HS to Rocketts Landing, where they enjoyed a picnic and rode back.  A great adventure in perfect weather! ✌⚜️🚴💪

10/19/2024.  With a record 1,200+ attendees from the entire Council and a beautiful weather, 12 scouts from Pack 2831 and their parents had the opportunity of enjoying a day of shooting sports, science, rock climbing, pumpking decorating, BMX, scavanger hunt, gaga-ball, and wrapped the day with funny skits at the campfire, the hunted trail and for the brave souls: a tour to the haunted mansion.  All of this, at the beautiful Cub Adventure Camp in Goochland, VA.

10/05/2024.  A perfect-weather night for the run and campout.
Hoping that next year we have an overwhelming participation from our pack, to keep up the promise of "...keep myself physically strong..." and have lots of fun with family and friends!

06/26/2024.  Our Cub Scouts (and a few parents) performed quite a few funny skits on night 3, during the flameless campfire at Cub Adventure Camp this summer. 🎭

06/26/2024.   One of the most highly anticipated events of the year is the Summer Camp, and this year was no exception. Twenty-four Cub Scouts along with their parents and three siblings enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities, cheers, skits, and all the fun that the space-themed summer camp had to offer. Despite the occasional sensation of camping in the sun, the enjoyment of the air-conditioned dining hall, refreshing cold showers, and delicious slushies more than made up for the uncomfortable heat wave.  Enjoy the slideshow!

05/17/2024.  After a year of hard work, our cub scouts ranked up during our annual Cub-o-Matic.  Congratulations to all our cub scouts on completing the ranks of Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears and WeBeLoS.

But all this fun is just the beginning of a new scouting year.  We are looking forward for a massive participation in our summer events.

02/09/2024.  Following the Blue and Gold banquet, our Bears captivated the pack with an amazing display of creativity in the traditional Bears Carnival (Grin and Bear It elective adventure).  This year our Cub Scouts ingeniously crafted 15+ engaging games that not only showcased their creativity but also spread joy and laughter among fellow Cub Scouts, their families, friends, and esteemed guests.  Kudos to the Bears for a job well done and to the whole pack for demonstrating the Scout Spirit! ✌️⚜️🐻🎪

02/08/2024.  In commemoration of the 114 anniversary of the Scouting Organization in the United States, we are sharing this fantastic 36-minutes long documentary dated 1957, where we can appreciate the genesis and the early days of scouting, described by Lord Baden-Powell of Gilwell himself (founder and first Chief Scout of the world-wide Scout Movement)

12/16/2023.  Pack 2831 was invited to participate in the Christmas Parade at the Harper's Mill Community.
The cheers and smiles from the neighbors as the pack members were parading were priceless!  And we couldn't ask for a better weather for this event

12/06/2023.  During the December Pack Meeting, we witnessed the Leader Succession Ceremony, where our outgoing Cubmaster Mr. Edwards passed the Spirit of Scouting to our new Cubmaster Mr. Sullivan.  During the ceremony, Ms. Obranovich also received her Assistant Cubmaster badge.  For many months both new leaders have been preparing for these roles, to ensure a smooth transition.

Thank you Mr. Edwards for so many years of leadership in the pack, and best wishes to Mr. Sullivan and Ms. Obranovich for stepping up and accepting the challenge of leading our great pack.

02/10/2023.  With a record attendance of over 200 guests (cubs, relatives and leaders), the 2023 Bears' Carnival took place after the celebration of the 112th anniversary of Scouting in North America, in our traditional Blue & Gold banquet.  Here is a recap of the games our Bears had for all the cubs' enjoyment!

07/26-29/2022.  Over 40+ cub scouts and their parents from Pack 2831 enjoyed the annual Summer Camp at the Cub Adventure Camp, and this year's theme was "Knights vs. Vikings".  This video was curated by Mr. Brian Sullivan, and he captured great moments during the 4 days at the camp.  We can't wait for next year's Summer Camp!

11/12/2021.  During the 31st annual Veteran's Day program at Woolridge Elementary School, Pack 2831 was well represented, and all the cubs took an active role in this solemn celebration.

05/14/2021.  During the May's pack meeting, the Bears had the chance of facilitating their Olympic Games; a Bears' Carnival spin-off, since they didn't had the chance of doing it this year during the traditional Blue & Gold banquet.  Witness the highlights of the event in this short video!
