Scouts from all over will be on hand to honor the veterans who gave it all on Memorial Day. On this day, May 25, 2019 Scouts from Pack 244 will be assigned a section in Calverton National Cemetery where we will be placing flags on all grave in the section.
The flag placing ceremony begins exactly at 9:30am
We should arrive by 8:30. It gets very crowded very fast. Last year we had bagels at the section. We will be doing the same thing. Plan on arriving between 8am and 8:30. Have a bagel and relax and remember those who gave their life for our country.
ASSEMBLY - Begins at 9 AM; meet at the corn crib next to the Center. South east corner of park.
Await directions from leaders. Pull out all carts containing poles, flags, and signs. Assemble flags and signs from south to north end of Avenue of America.
Leave all carts at north end of Avenue.

RETIREMENT OF PARADE
Begins at 4:00 PM at north end of Avenue.
All parts of the Parade are returned to corncrib.
Join the Benjamin Tallmadge district for our Cub ‘O’ Ree and district Pinewood Derby runoff!! There will be games, activities, the Tiger float parade as well as our annual district pinewood derby runoff. For the tiger float parade we’re asking all Tiger dens in each pack to create a float in accordance with the theme “Cub Scout Safari”. Parade will start at 11am and we encourage the entire den to walk to show off their float (floats can be built on a small platform or metal wagon type structure).

Our Annual Kickball Game and Spring Recruitment will take place on the ball field behind FJC. Bring a friend! All are welcome! Food and Beverages will be provided.
It's back! Our Annual Fishing Trip out of Captree with Troop 244. Bait and Pole are included. Bring a bagged lunch/ meal and a drink. $25.00 per person.
BOAT LEAVES AT 5pm. Please arrive early to get a seat on the boat.
Scouts will be learning about building a fire and fire safety. We will be making hot dogs and roasting marshmallows. There will be no swimming. $10 per person includes admission (for insurance purposes), hot dogs, beverage and marshmallows.
Scouts should be prepared to sing songs and act out skits.
