Meetings

Pack 197 meets three times a month during the school year. Meetings usually last an hour and are always held at our chartered organization: St. Philips United Methodist at 5501 Beechnut St, Houston, TX 77096.

Den Meetings: Individual den meetings (scouts divided by grade) are held on the first and third Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. Meetings are organized by the Den Leader and are geared toward working on advancements and awards.

Pack Meetings: All scouts meeting together, are held on the second Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Pack meetings are group activities, dens showing off their work, and scouts receive their awards and advancements.

Committee Meetings: When the leaders and adults meet to set agenda and activities, we meet on the forth Tuesday at 6:30 pm.

If there is a fifth Tuesday in a month, then we get a day off.

Additional activities include: den outings (fire station, historical monument, etc.), two campouts per year, pinewood derby, Scout Fair, Blue and Gold celebration, Scout Sunday, fundraising activities, and other character building activities.
