Pack-It AI Privacy Policy

Pack-It AI is a travel packing and trip organization app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and when information may be shared with third-party service providers.
Information We Collect
Pack-It AI may collect:
• Email address, when you create or use an account.
• User ID, used to associate your account with saved app data.
• User-created content, including trip information, destinations, packing items, suitcase details, packing preferences, chat messages, and other information you enter into the app.
• Photos you choose to upload when using supported AI features.
• Text created from voice input when you use voice features. Pack-It does not send the original voice recording to OpenAI; only the resulting transcribed text is sent for AI processing.
How We Use Information
We use this information to provide Pack-It AI’s features, including:
• Creating and managing accounts.
• Saving trips, packing lists, suitcase information, and preferences.
• Generating personalized packing suggestions.
• Answering travel and packing questions through the AI assistant.
• Analyzing photos that users voluntarily provide for supported AI features.
• Helping users organize luggage and stay within airline size and weight limits.
AI Data Sharing and OpenAI
Pack-It AI uses OpenAI to provide AI-powered travel and packing features.
When you choose to use an AI feature, information relevant to your request may be sent to OpenAI for processing. This may include:
• Chat messages and other text you enter.
• Trip and packing information included in your AI request.
• Photos you choose to upload for AI analysis.
• Transcribed text generated from voice input.
Pack-It AI asks for your permission before sending this information for AI processing. If you select “Not Now,” the AI request is not sent. If you select “Allow & Continue,” the information needed for that request may be sent to OpenAI so the requested AI response can be generated.
You can revoke your AI data-sharing consent from the app’s Settings. If consent is revoked, Pack-It AI will ask for permission again before a future AI request is sent.
Third-Party Services
Pack-It AI uses third-party service providers to operate app features, including services for authentication, data storage, backend infrastructure, and AI processing.
Information is shared with these providers only as necessary to provide the requested app functionality. Pack-It AI does not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising.
Tracking and Advertising
Pack-It AI does not use personal information for tracking across apps or websites. We do not sell personal information and do not use user information for third-party advertising.
Data Retention and Deletion
Information associated with your account may be retained as needed to provide app functionality, maintain saved trips and packing information, comply with legal obligations, and protect the security of the service.
Users may contact us to request deletion of personal information associated with their account.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect user information. However, no online service can guarantee complete security.
Children’s Privacy
Pack-It AI is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
