Let us introduce you to Pack 357
We realize that joining scouts is a big decision for you, your child, and your family.
We have included some information on our website that can help you make an informed decision. If you have some questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would be happy to discuss scouting with you.
Who can join?
Cub Scouting is for youth in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. Children who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join Cub Scouting, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting or Venturing program.
Boy Scouting is for youth 11 to 17 years of age. Scouts also may become Boy Scouts if they have earned the Cub Scouting Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old.
Why join Pack 357?
Our pack is composed of about thirty children who are having fun, they also learn new things, discover and master new skills, gain self-confidence, and develop strong friendships. The pack is currently accepting girls and boys in 1st through 5th grade.
Some of the things we did this past scouting year included: building and racing Pinewood Derby wooden cars, learning about our community history, popcorn sales, a weekend camping trip to Umstead Park in a Civilian Conservation Corps cabin built in the 1930's, learning about our natural environment, walking to stop hunger in the Raleigh CROP Walk, building rocket ships, tent camping and receiving award recognition for their accomplishments.
How do we join?
It is real easy just reach out to us, fill out a form and give your registration fee.
Our Promise
Our promise is that your child will have lots of fun; have numerous opportunities to participate in a wide variety of activities; gain valuable life skills; and you will be informed every step of the way.
Sincerely,
Pack 357 Leadership Team
