Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)
An Art Exhibition Celebrating the Radiance of Southern California
Southern California – Newport Beach, Coastline College Art Gallery — June 11- July 17, 2025, art lovers are invited to bask in the brilliance of Pacific Daylight Time, a vibrant group exhibition showcasing the work of Southern California artists. The show is a playful homage to the region’s most radiant season—the 238 days of daylight saving time when clocks spring forward and California truly comes to life. Come celebrate with us on the Solstice, Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 5-7pm, and meet the artists.
Referencing and riffing on the Getty's historic Pacific Standard Time, Pacific Daylight Time turns the spotlight toward the sun-soaked vitality of the Golden State. From the Pacific Coast to the Mojave Desert, from bustling cities to serene mountain ranges, the works on display capture the color, energy, and eccentricity that define California's creative spirit.
The exhibition features painting, sculpture, photography, and multimedia works that reflect the playful, electric, and unmistakably Californian vibe of this extended "golden hour." Expect everything from sun-bleached nostalgia to contemporary commentary on climate, identity, and belonging in the West.
