Who are we?

LASO is a cultural based student organization at Pace University that meet weekly to discuss and celebrate different aspects of our cultures, such as: politics, music, country-specific celebrations, identity, intersectionality, etc. While the majority of our members are latinx-identifying, we encourage everyone to join the organization.

Purpose/mission

LASO strives to develop a community of Latin American students with an emphasis on creating a supportive space that fosters valuable connections that will develop through their time at Pace University. LASO also strives to educate the Pace community on the magnitude of Latin American cultures and heritage while also shedding light on the importance of unity in order to inspire and motivate our Latin American students as well as any student that shares a curiosity and interest for our cultures.
