I am Associate Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M).
My research focuses on historical economics and development. I am particularly interested in the process of economic development and its relationship with agrarian institutions, several forms of inequality, and the interplay between economics and politics.
I was born in Barcelona and studied at Liceo Italiano Edoardo Amaldi of Barcelona.
I received my Bachelor degree in Economics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), where I also obtained a Master in Economic History and Institutions.
I got my PhD in 2012 at the European University Institute (EUI) of Fiesole/Florence with a thesis on 'Land Inequality and Efficiency in Italian Agriculture, 1930-1940'.
Since october 2012, I've been at UC3M, where I teach several courses on Economic History.
