Pablo Fernández- Cebrián

I am Assistant Professor at the University of Valencia, Department of Economic Analysis, Economic Development in Historical Perspective Group (EH-Valencia), working on the history of African trade since the 19th century, and on the historical determinants of the spread of health and sanitation infrastructures in Africa. 

I received my PhD in Economic History from the University of Barcelona. My doctoral project focused on the political economy of primary schooling and the evolution of state capacity in Mozambique during the colonial period. The dissertation is available here.
