PA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER
The members of the PA Alumni Association are in the process of making plans for the 126th Peoples Academy Reunion in the form of a Luncheon at Copley Country Club which will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 12:00 PM. The Alumni Committee continues to work diligently to make positive changes for the convenience of class reunions, travel plans and group social events. This year, a breakfast for the class of 2019 will be held at Peoples Academy at a later date in June.
At our last banquet, Mckenna Montminy, grand-daughter of Verlie Tillotson, presented “The Verlie Tillotson Award” of $250 to Brandy Small who exemplified school and community service.
After dinner, the Seniors were addressed by speaker Mark May, (Class of 1968). Mark’s message to the seniors was to acknowledge those who have nurtured, guided and made them feel important such as their parents and teachers, so that the Seniors may help others in the future. Following this, the Senior Class of 2018 was introduced and they shared their future plans.
The Classic Band of 1962 or “Kitchen Band” comprised of five ‘62 classmates: Richard and Francine Clark Page, Brian Lambert, Skip Lamere, and Bob Levis had everyone tapping their feet and humming to songs such as “Honky Tonk”, “Good Hearted Woman”, and “Your Cheating Heart”.
