  How P2PChat works

  P2PChat connects two phones directly over Bluetooth. One device hosts, the other joins, and from that point on every message travels straight from one phone to the other — there is

  no chat server, no account system, and no cloud backend in between. We built it this way on purpose: if we never run a server that sees your messages, we can't collect, lose, or hand

  over something we never had.

  Messages are kept only in the local storage of each phone for that specific conversation, and are cleared automatically when either side disconnects.

  What we don't collect

  - Chat messages

  - Contacts

  - Precise location

  - Photos & files

  - Accounts / passwords

  - Payment info

  - Health data

  - Contact lists

  The one exception: advertising

  P2PChat is free, and shows a small banner ad on the home screen through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to cover that cost. AdMob automatically collects a limited set of

  technical data to select and measure ads — separate from, and unrelated to, your conversations:

  - Advertising ID — used for ad selection & measurement — shared with Google

  - App interactions — used for advertising and analytics — shared with Google

  - Diagnostics — used for analytics — shared with Google

  This data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and handled under Google's own Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can limit ad personalization at any time in your

  device's Settings → Privacy → Ads, or reset/opt out of your Advertising ID entirely from the same menu.

  Permissions we ask for

  - BLUETOOTH_CONNECT / SCAN — to find and connect to the other phone. This is the app's core function.

  - FOREGROUND_SERVICE — keeps the Bluetooth connection alive while you're chatting, even if the screen locks.

  - POST_NOTIFICATIONS — lets us notify you of a new message or a disconnect while you're in another app.

  - INTERNET — used only to request and display the AdMob banner. Chat itself needs no internet connection.

  Children's privacy

  P2PChat is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us and we'll

  help however we can — though again, since we have no server, there is no message data to delete on our end; deleting the app removes everything stored locally.

  Changes to this policy

  If how the app handles data ever changes, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Since there are no accounts, we have no email list to notify directly — check
