I will use a first-person tone to write this section, as it is a bio sketch of my earlier life events and other personal interests, forming who I have become today.
I am a native of Andhra Pradesh (a southern state of India), but I grew up in many places across India, thanks to my father's occupation in the Indian Air Force. I received my B.E degree from Andhra University College of Engineering for Women (we were the first batch) in 2010. I received my M. Tech degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K), in 2016. I worked in the industry for a brief period. Later I joined as a project associate and continued PhD at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 2017 and 2018, respectively. My research interests are in switched-mode power converters, energy storage systems and solar photovoltaic systems. I am currently focusing on optimal power electronics for renewable energy applications.
Over these 10 years of engineering life, I have had the immense privilege and opportunity to meet and work with great engineers, professors, seniors, juniors, colleagues, labmates and friends who have shaped my thinking, encouraged, supervised, nurtured and polished me, and taught me life lessons. No amount of gratitude is enough. I am also humbled by the fact that my existence and livelihood rest on the hardships and sacrifices of my fellow countrymen. I wish to convey and express my gratitude in a substantial and tangible form than mere words.
I am also a (beginner) Carnatic vocalist and violinist. (I paused briefly now to finish the task at hand :D ).
