Exploring the adoption of AI-assisted teaching among TESOL instructors at a university in Tashkent
I advocate for applying AI assisted teaching tools in language teaching, especially in Uzbekistan where teachers may not have much access training. I believe all teachers and students should have a fair chance to benefit from AI and ethically apply in education. My goal is to help teachers feel more confident and supported when using new technologies in their classrooms.
The above outlines the logic of inquiry used in my research. I worked with 26 TESOL instructors gather different views. I collected information through interviews and surveys to understand their experiences with AI-assisted teaching. I used NVivo software for qualitative research, I coded the data and identified common themes and patterns from information I gained from interviews and survey report. This helped me gain a deeper understanding of how AI is being used in TESOL classrooms in Uzbekistan.
NVivo software was used to generate visual aids that present the research findings in an interactive way.
The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used for the theoretical framing of my research. This model is useful for studying the acceptance of AI-assisted teaching among TESOL instructors at a university in Tashkent.
