We must strengthen the family unit.
We must defend our unalienable rights, "...that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.-"
I. Place our nations motto, "In God We Trust" in the Board of Supervisors Chamber.

In the Supreme Court case Van Orden v Perry (2005) Justice Rehnquist states, "... the role of God in our Nation’s heritage has also been reflected in our decisions. We have acknowledged, for example, that “religion has been closely identified with our history and government.” School Dist. of Abington Township v. Schempp, 374 U. S., at 212, and that “[t]he history of man is inseparable from the history of religion,” Engel v. Vitale, 370 U. S. 421, 434 (1962).[Footnote 7]
Justice Rehnquist also stated, "From at least 1789, there has been an unbroken history of official acknowledgement by all three branches of government of religion's role in American life."
Acknowledging God supports the claim we have Unalienable Rights stated in the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

131 cities and counties in California and over 650 municipalities nationwide have adopted the motto "In God We Trust". (Fresno Bee, May 4, 2017)
1814 - In the final stanza of Francis Scott Key's poem, "The Star-Spangled Banner" it reads "And this be our motto: In God is our trust".
1864 - The motto was first inscribed on the U.S. circulating bronze two-cent coin.
1954 - The phrase "under God" was added to the Pledge of Allegiance while President Eisenhower was in office.
1956 - Congress passed a joint resolution making "In God We Trust" our Nations official motto.
2. Parental Rights
Did you know?
Parental rights are gift from God and are protected by the U.S. Constitution including due process of law.
In Shasta County, an increasing number of parents are claiming that their parental rights have been terminated without receiving reunification services.
Reunification services must be ordered as soon as possible after the child is removed. (W&I Code 319e)
The priority of Child Protective Services is to ensure the safety of the child and preservation of the family. (W&I 300.2)
A forensic audit of HHS/CPS is needed to ensure the rights of parents and children are protected.
Welfare and Institution Codes 361.5, 366.21, 366.22 and Senate Bill 1064 support reunification of parents and their children.
County supervisors deny jurisdiction and are unable to help parents.
In reality the BOS can initiate an administrative review to address these allegations which involves the Clerk of the Board.
3. Business Personal Property $10,000 Exemption
Did you know?
That under California Law every county in the State has the authority to offer a low-value property tax exemption of up to $10,000.
This exemption amount is at the discretion of the Board of Supervisors.
As of today, the Board of Supervisors has authorized an exemption of $1900.
In 2024, the Board of Supervisors voted for themselves to receive a $31,000 pay raise.
It's only right to allow for small business owners to receive the maximum tax exemption allowed by state law.
When SB 273 becomes law, this exemption will increase to $20,000, but will only be available at the discretion of the BOS.
