The Young Persons Network is a selection of people from the main membership body that actively participate in Society events. The network is made up of keen volunteers who are our first port of call for help at aerospace events across the globe.
By joining the network you will have first pick at some amazing opportunities that many people won’t ever have the chance to do!
What sort of things do we do?
What sort of things do we do?
You may be asked to volunteer for events or maybe even choose to organise them yourselves!
Activities may include:
• Local Branch/ Specialist Group events.
• The RAeS stand at air shows and festivals.
• Presenting to university fresher students.
• Mentoring those starting out in their career.
• Careers and Education outreach events.
• Helping to run events organised by the YPC.

Just as you are supporting us in our events, we are here to support you too! You will have a local YPN representative associated to each Branch and Specialist Group. These representatives will be glad to support you in any way they can. To find your local YPN Rep, contact us.

If you have any events locally that you would like to promote or attend with help from the YPN then please let us know and we will try and help!

To join our growing team of volunteers, visit your RAeS online profile and select the box. Alternatively, email ypn@aerosociety.com and we can add you to the list!
If you are interested in becoming A YPN Rep, please supply a CV and 500-word statement detailing why you would like to be a YPN rep (and for which Branch/ Specialist Group) and how you believe you can support Branch/ SG activities. HQ will review submissions and forward to Branches/ SG for the final invitation where appropriate. Please send your CV to: ypn@aerosociety.com
