State of the Art of OWI 2021 Report

In the spring of 2021 a working group within the OWI Standing Group was formed to replicate the 2011 survey and report on the State of the Art of Online Writing Instruction. This original survey asked teachers about their online and/or hybrid teaching practices, values, and experiences. The working group adapted the 2011 survey and sent out the adapted survey in the fall of 2021. The 2021 working group and State of the Art report represents a 10-year picture of the developments of online writing instruction, including taking into account the 2020-2021 COVID-19 pandemic and the shift to emergency remote teaching.
