These Terms explain how OweWeGo may be used.

Welcome to OweWeGo.

Free and Pro Features

OweWeGo offers free features and Pro features.

The free version of OweWeGo may include limits, such as limits on the number of trips, participants, expenses, or available split types.

Pro features may include additional trip limits, advanced split options, receipt photo attachments, PDF summaries, settlement tracking, payment request sharing, or other expanded features.

Paid upgrades, may be handled through the applicable app store or approved purchase provider.

Feature availability, limits, and pricing may change over time.

These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using OweWeGo. By using OweWeGo, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About OweWeGo

OweWeGo helps users track and split group trip expenses.

The app lets users create trips, add participants, enter expenses, calculate balances, view settlement amounts, attach receipt photos, and generate trip summaries.

2. No Payment Processing

OweWeGo does not process payments.

OweWeGo does not hold funds.

OweWeGo does not transfer money.

OweWeGo does not move money between users.

Any payments, reimbursements, or settlements are handled outside the app by the users.

3. User Responsibility

OweWeGo provides expense totals, split calculations, balances, and settlement suggestions for convenience.

Users are responsible for reviewing all expenses, participant names, split amounts, balances, and settlement amounts before making or requesting payments.

Users are responsible for resolving any disagreements about expenses, payments, reimbursements, or settlements.

4. Local Data Storage

OweWeGo Version 1.00 stores trip data locally on the user’s device.

This may include trip names, participant names, expenses, categories, notes, receipt image references, balances, and settlement status.

OweWeGo Version 1.00 does not require account creation and does not currently use cloud sync.

If the app is deleted, local trip data may be deleted.

5. Receipt Photos

OweWeGo may allow users to attach receipt photos to expenses.

Receipt photos are stored locally as image references on the user’s device.

OweWeGo does not currently scan receipts, read receipt text, or use receipt photos for automated expense extraction.

6. Accuracy of Information

OweWeGo is designed to help users organize and calculate shared trip expenses.

However, OweWeGo may contain errors, bugs, incorrect calculations, or incomplete information.

Users should verify important information before relying on it.

7. No Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice

OweWeGo does not provide financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or payment services.

Information shown in the app is for convenience only.

8. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to use OweWeGo for unlawful activity, fraud, harassment, abuse, or any purpose that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.

Users agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt the app, or use the app in a way that harms other users.

9. App Availability

OweWeGo is provided as-is and as-available.

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time.

We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, OweWeGo and its owner are not responsible for losses, disputes, damages, missed payments, incorrect reimbursements, data loss, or other issues that may result from using the app.

Users are responsible for verifying all information before making payments or settlement decisions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

When changes are made, the “Last updated” date may be updated.

Future versions of the app may ask users to review and accept updated Terms and Conditions.
