To whom it may concern:
My name is Tom Calhoun. I am the public address announcer for the Gateway Grizzlies, the St. Louis Blues and a professor of communications at Southwestern Illinois College. I have come to know Owen Buescher in the last few months, and with this letter am endorsing his candidacy for any position he may be seekingwithin your organization.
Owen has functioned as a press box and marketing intern for the Grizzlies. During my time working
alongside Owen, Ihave seen him exhibitskills and traits essential for someone attempting to break into his chosen field. Owen is adept at thinking on his feet, dealing with late additions, subtractions, and
changes to in-game scripts. He works quickly and calmly to offer solutions to issues presented by these revisions, and works diligently to execute these ideas.
Being a key graphics creator for the organization, l've seen many of his efforts on our stadium video board. They are well-thought-out, and exhibit a keen eye for visual communication. He designed impressive player cards for themed-games and "event" graphics for Grizzlies' playoff-clinching victories and historic moments.
I have also witnessed a strong ability as a communicator with our press box team. He efficiently and impressively coordinates with fellow entertainment workers and his supervisor. Owen is a hard worker with a welcoming personality who comes into the office ready to adapt and overcome any challenges that may arise.
As a managerin the communication field for many years, Ibelieve the most impressive trait ayoung person can have in these times is that one genuinelycares about the work.Owen does. So, I happily support his candidacy for any position he may seek now, and in the future.
Please feel free to contact me for further information.

Tom Calhoun

"What sets Owen apart from our other interns is his 'team player' attitude. Working in sports requires group efforts that can retain and bring in new fans and people. Owen did just that. "
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Jared Speer, Director of In-Game Entertainment at the Gateway Grizzlies. I am writing this letter on behalf of Owen Buescher. Owen interned in our Marketing/In-Game Entertainment role. It is fascinating to watch our interns grow and adapt throughout the season. Owen came in everyday with a willingness to learn and succeed. Along with his passion for sports, he went above and beyond in all tasks he was assigned. Owen created a variety of social media and video board content in the Adobe Creative Suite that will set the example for years to come. What sets Owen apart from our other interns is his “team player” attitude. Working in sports requires group efforts that can retain and bring in new fans and people. Owen did just that.
Along with being a valuable asset to our intern class this year, Owen took on a leadership role in our department. He would come in everyday and update player statistics for our video board, as well as create themed player statistic templates for our bigger nights, such as Star Wars Night and Greatest Night in Baseball. Additionally, he took charge of our audio during games. Owen did not just play music, but downloaded sounds and made themed playlists for games that fans found interactive and fun. I am proud to have had Owen on our team this season, and I strongly recommend him for any role he decides to pursue in his future.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information.
Best,
Jared Speer
