Beyond mathematicsÂ
Outside mathematics, I enjoy spending time in the mountains, hiking and cycling.Â

Welcome! I am a lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Bucharest (FMI), and a researcher at the Simion Stoilow Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy (IMAR).Â
My work is in several complex variables and complex differential geometry. This website brings together my research, teaching materials, and information for students interested in working with me.Â
Research [Research and publications]
I am particularly interested in Stein spaces, Stein neighborhood problems, pseudoconvexity, and q-convexity, as well as Kähler and locally conformally Kähler geometry, including on complex spaces with singularities. A recurring theme in my work is the interplay between holomorphic functions, notions of convexity, and the geometry of complex spaces.Â
Teaching and students [Courses and lecture notes]
I teach undergraduate and master’s courses in complex analysis, several complex variables, and advanced analysis, and supervise bachelor’s and master’s theses.Â
Students interested in a thesis in complex analysis or complex geometry are welcome to get in touch. We can discuss possible topics, suitable reading, and the background needed to get started.Â
Background [Curriculum vitae]
I obtained my PhD in Mathematics at IMAR in 2016, under the supervision of dr. Mihnea ColČ›oiu. Before that, I studied at the University of Bucharest, where I received an MSc in Mathematical Analysis in 2011 and a BSc in Mathematics in 2009.Â
