2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
Because OverSmart AI operates primarily on a local-first architecture without user accounts, our data collection is strictly limited to what is required for core app functionality, subscription management, and advertising for non-subscribed users.

- API Keys (Encrypted Storage): When you provide API keys for third-party AI providers (such as Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq, Hugging Face, Cerebras, SambaNova, Mistral, ElevenLabs, or a Custom API), these keys are stored locally on your device using operating system-level secure storage (flutter_secure_storage utilizing Android EncryptedSharedPreferences / iOS Keychain). Your API keys are never transmitted to, stored on, or accessible by OverSmart AI developer servers.
- AI Prompts & Generated Content: All text prompts you enter and the content generated by AI tools (such as video scripts, titles, descriptions, hashtags, and thumbnails) are saved locally on your device in our local database (Hive). We do not log, inspect, or store your prompts or generated content on our servers.
- App Settings & Preferences: Preferences such as your selected AI provider, active model, voice settings, and UI configurations remain locally stored on your device.
2.2 Automatically Processed & Collected Data
- Device Identifier (ANDROID_ID via device_info_plus): We access your device's unique hardware or OS identifier (ANDROID_ID on Android) solely to verify and maintain your entitlement status (such as checking whether you have purchased the "Remove Ads" subscription or managing free tier limits) across app reinstalls without requiring you to create an account or sign in. This identifier is processed locally and is not sold, traded, or shared with unauthorized third parties.
- Advertising Identifiers & Ad Interaction Data (Google AdMob): For users who do not have an active "Remove Ads" subscription, our app displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob (google_mobile_ads). Google AdMob automatically collects device advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID / GAID), IP address, device specifications, and ad interaction metrics (impressions, clicks, and views) to deliver personalized or non-personalized advertisements. - In-App Purchase Verification Tokens (Google Play Billing): When you purchase or manage a subscription inside the app, transaction confirmation tokens and subscription status are processed directly via Google Play Billing (in_app_purchase). 3. How User Prompts and AI Providers Work (BYOK)
OverSmart AI acts as an intelligent client interface connecting your device directly to third-party AI service providers via secure HTTPS/TLS encryption.
1. Direct Device-to-Provider Communication: When you submit a prompt to generate content or synthesize voice audio, your request and API key are sent directly from your mobile device to the servers of the AI provider you have selected (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq, Hugging Face, Cerebras, SambaNova, Mistral, ElevenLabs, or Custom API).
2. No Developer Intermediation: OverSmart AI does not route your requests through our own backend servers, nor do we intercept, log, or monitor your AI interactions.

- Purpose: To serve banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded advertisements within the free tier of the application.
- GDPR & Regional Consent (Google UMP SDK): For users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, OverSmart AI presents a certified User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent dialog upon initial launch. - Local Data: All locally stored data (API keys, generated content, AI history, custom settings, and local device entitlement cache) remains on your device for as long as the application is installed.
- Ad Data: Data collected by Google AdMob is retained and managed by Google in accordance with their independent retention policies.
5.2 How to Delete Your Data
Because OverSmart AI stores your prompts, history, API keys, and settings locally on your device rather than on centralized cloud databases, you can instantly and permanently delete 100% of your data at any time through any of the following methods:
1. In-App Deletion: Open the app and navigate to Settings -> Legal -> Delete My Data (or clear local history directly from the Tools/History screen).
2. Device Settings Clear Storage: Open your Android Device Settings -> Apps -> OverSmart AI -> Storage & Cache -> Clear Storage / Clear Data. This permanently wipes all Hive databases and encrypted API keys.
3. App Uninstallation: Uninstalling OverSmart AI from your mobile device immediately removes all locally stored data, configurations, and encrypted keys from device memory.
4. Advertising ID Reset: To reset or delete the advertising identifier associated with your device for ad targeting, navigate to Settings -> Google -> Ads -> Reset advertising ID (or Delete advertising ID).
