1. Introduction
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Over Paint app ("the App") handles when you use it, and why. By using the App, you agree to the terms described below.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
We do not ask for, collect or store personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts or photos. The App has no user accounts.
2.2 Your Game Data
Your game progress (levels completed, stars, best stroke counts and times, album pictures, daily puzzle results and streaks) and your settings (sound, vibration, colorblind patterns) are stored only on your device. We do not receive them.
2.3 Permissions
The App does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, files or precise location. It uses only these standard permissions:
- Internet and network state: to load ads, send anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, and download game settings.
- Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads (see Section 4).
3. How We Use Information
Information handled by the App and its service providers is used only to:
- run the game and save your progress on your device;
- show advertisements;
- understand how the game is played, so we can improve levels and features;
- find and fix crashes;
- adjust game settings, such as how often ads appear, without an app update.
We do not sell, rent or trade any user information.
4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google AdMob (advertising)
The App shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on the menu screens, full-screen ads between some levels and before some hints, and an optional rewarded ad you can choose to watch for a hint. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, device type and operating system version, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data (such as views and clicks).
You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads at any time in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on your device).
4.2 Google Firebase Analytics
Firebase Analytics tells us how the game is played, for example which levels are started and finished, how many strokes and how much time they took, and when hints are used or ads are shown. Firebase also records basic events such as the first launch and session length, together with device information (model, Android version, language, and country derived from your IP address) and an app instance ID. We do not send your name, email or other personal details. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
4.3 Google Firebase Crashlytics
If the App crashes, Crashlytics sends a crash report containing technical details (the error, device model, Android version, available memory) and an installation ID. We use it only to fix bugs.
4.4 Google Firebase Remote Config
The App downloads game settings from Firebase Remote Config using an installation ID. No information about your play is sent through this service.

4.5 Google Play (ratings and updates)
The App may show Google Play's own rating card or offer an update through Google Play. Google Play handles both. We do not see who rated the App or what they wrote through the in-app card.
5. Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Where the law requires it, the App shows Google's consent form before using your data for ads, and Firebase Analytics follows the choices you make there. You can change your choice at any time in the App under Settings > Privacy options.
6. Data Retention and Storage
We do not keep user accounts or store personal data on our own servers. Your game data stays on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
The App supports Android's built-in backup, which may back up your local game data to your own Google account as part of your device's standard backup. This is controlled by your device settings, and we have no access to that backup.
Data collected by the Google services above is kept according to Google's own retention policies.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
8. Security
Data sent by the App to Google services travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Because we do not store personal information on our own servers, the risk of a data breach on our side is minimal. Your device's security also depends on your own device settings and protections.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date". Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
