Below you can read about the current undergraduate mentored researchers and their personal interests. You can also read about the post-graduation paths of alumni who were members of the lab during their time at Elon University.

Olivia DiGiovanni

Class of 2024

College of Arts and Sciences

Biochemistry Major | Neuroscience Minor

Elon Odyssey Scholar

Current Research and Interests:

My research looks at neural representations during encoding and retrieval in memory.

Lindy Feintuch

Class of 2024

College of Arts and Sciences

Biology Major | Neuroscience Minor

Lumen Prize Recipient | Honors Fellow | Jane M. Baird Pre-Health Scholar

Current Research and Interests:

My research focuses on memory differences between people with and without autistic traits. Specifically, I am interested in the relationship between eye movement and the self-reference effect on memory performance.

Brandon Fowlin

Class of 2024

College of Arts and Sciences

Public Health Major | Neuroscience and Policy Studies Minors

Elon Odyssey Scholar

Current Research and Interests:

My research focuses on encoding, retrieval, and memory integration in younger and older adults.

Paige Goldberg

Class of 2024

College of Arts and Sciences

Psychology Major | Neuroscience Minor

Current Research and Interests:

My research focuses on impairments to associative memory in those with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).

Winnie Carlton

Class of 2024

College of Arts and Sciences

Biology Major | Neuroscience Minor

Current Research and Interests:

My research focuses on impairments to memory. Specifically, I am interested in using eye-tracking technology to evaluate the effects of mild traumatic brain injury on associative memory. I am also interested in differences in associative memory between younger and older adults; my research uses fMRI scanning to analyze differences in neural representation during encoding and retrieval between the 2 groups.

Eva Hunter

Class of 2025

College of Arts and Sciences

Psychology Major | Human Service Studies Minor

Current Research and Interests:

My research focuses on memory differences between people with and without autistic traits. I use eye-tracking to examine the relationship between eye movement and the self-reference memory effect.
