In March 2021, a storm with extreme winds caused docks to break loose. Thankfully the break wall was in place to keep the docks from free floating across Lake Ray Hubbard. Overdrive Construction LLC led the charge for relocating and rehabbing the docks in the restoration process. Being successful with this project meant working closely with two different sets of City Officials, Building and Permit Officials, architects and engineers, as well as the marina staff, marina management, and the owners worked closely with us to ensure the marina could recover quickly and efficiently to allow the slip holders a safe return to their boats. 

We called upon divers to cut spud poles from below, our staff built custom spud collars to replace the broken ones and for the additional spud poles to be added to the docks, removed unsafe and damaged slips or walkways, and so much more. Overdrive Construction worked with all utility companies to ensure their needs were met. We built areas on the sides of walkways and in corners of boat slips so electric, water, and fire suppression could be ran and hooked up. 

Relocating the docks was all hands on deck. After helping to finalize the new layout of the marina we were on the move. Through strong communication, teamwork, and the dedication to succeed we were able to successfully move, fully relocated, and set the spuds for the docks.
