Members come from many backgrounds, and lasting friendships are often made. We also enjoy social events such as bowling, gliding, Christmas dinners, and even trips to the National Badminton Championships.

Great — I’ll format this last page into the same clean website-ready format as before, using clear headings, sections, and lists.
Here’s the structured version:
The Club uses the Peg Board System, which ensures a good mix of partners and abilities.
Members are expected to adhere to the system to avoid bias and any conflict of interest.
Any member who feels overlooked in the selection process should raise this during the session. No one should be left out, even unintentionally.
The system is simple, but the details are best explained to new members once they join.
📌 Note: The peg board and player’s pegs are stored in a locked Club cupboard in the Kitchen Area.
Keys are held by nominated members, who open the cupboard upon arrival.
The Club has access to the kitchen areas (via the Centre Lobby).
Hot and cold refreshments are free.
Members are encouraged to:
Prepare drinks for themselves and others during sessions
Help with washing up at the end of play
Ensure all materials are stored away and cupboards locked
Afterwards, keys should be handed to the nominated member or, if absent, retained until the next session.
The Club has Insurance for 3rd Party Liability only. Members should arrange personal accident cover if required.
A comprehensive First Aid kit is available for minor injuries. Emergency services will be contacted for serious incidents.
The Community Centre also provides access to a Defibrillator.
Members should:
Keep personal belongings on or under chairs to prevent trip hazards
Act responsibly at all times to minimise risk of accidents
In the unlikely event of unacceptable conduct, the Club reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership.
Suspension or termination is the sole decision of the Committee.
Except in the most serious cases, members will be invited to meet with the Committee (or nominated representatives) before a final decision.
At this meeting:
Evidence will be reviewed
Suspension (for a limited period) or termination will be confirmed
Committee decisions are final
📄 The Club also operates a Complaints Procedure, available as a downloadable document on request.
📑 All policy documents relating to rules, guidelines, and safety are also available.
