Surgical drain log — Privacy Policy & Support

Outflow ("the app") helps you track output from post-surgical drains. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep it short because our data practices are simple: your data is yours, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with anyone.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. This is used solely to sign you in and secure your data.
Health information you enter. The app stores the drain data you log: drain names or labels, output volumes, fluid characteristics, dates and times of entries, and any notes you add. You enter this information voluntarily and it is collected for the sole purpose of displaying your records back to you.
Information we do not collect. The app contains no advertising, no analytics trackers, and no third-party marketing tools. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, browsing activity, or device identifiers for tracking.
Your data is used only to provide the app's core function: recording your drain output and showing you your history and trends. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties for their own purposes.
Your account and log data are stored securely with Supabase, our cloud database provider, using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Authentication credentials on your device are stored in your device's secure storage. Supabase processes this data solely on our behalf and cannot use it for its own purposes.
If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Notification permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
Your data is retained for as long as you keep your account. You may delete individual log entries at any time within the app. To delete your account and all associated data, use the account deletion option in the app or email us at the address below; deletion requests are honored within 30 days.
Outflow is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Always follow the instructions of your surgeon or care team regarding your drains, and contact them directly with any clinical concerns.
Outflow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If our data practices change, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

How do I delete my account and data?
Open the app → Settings → Account & sync → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data.
How do I turn reminders on or off?
Open a drain and set its reminder times, or adjust notification access in your phone's Settings.
Is Outflow a medical device?
No. Outflow is a personal record-keeping tool and does not provide medical advice. Always follow your surgical team's instructions.
