Membership

Considering joining us? 

You are more than welcome to join us for 2 walks before we ask that you pay a membership fee, currently £15.00 a year. This is standard practice across hiking and rambling groups and covers us for insurance purposes. 

As well as the calendar walks advertised on this website, we organise occasional mid-week walks during the day or evening. Paid members of Out & About Hikers receive information about occasional walks by email.

We also organise occasional social events, weekend trips and mountain skills training which are available to paid members only.  Paid members receive information about these events and opportunities by email. 

As a paid-up member you automatically become a member of the Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs, the governing body for walkers and ramblers. As a member, in addition to training opportunities you will receive an affiliation card which will entitle you to discount in a wide range of leading outdoor-related retailers and more.
