Halo Haley Doerger!
Haley our intern during this summer is a Environmental Science and Biology Engineering student at senior year of her course and is currently working at PP&B – Paper Packaging and Beyond laboratory.
Research Intern time!
PhD student second year and research intern!
Renato`s Damásio words: " Enriched experience, was the best definition for these period of summer work. During this time I had opportunity to increase my knowledge in research methods that I was never deeply studied. I had opportunity to demonstrate and applied lab techniques with a considerable sophistication for research as, GC-MS, SEM-EDS and others. I have being learned in the path of sample prepare to guarantee maximun equipment eficient and finally organizing my schedulle in parallel with my PhD project ".
He has been an excellent and reliable team member, demonstrating initiative, problem-solving skills, and a great attitude. He has played a key role in our preliminary studies on molded fiber, preparing handsheets from various biomass sources, developing refining curves, and generating drying curves using the hot press machine.
His contributions have been essential to moving our research forward, and we are hopeful to have him continue this work into the Fall 2025 semester.
