Welcome to OurHome. This Privacy Policy explains how KN Studios ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the OurHome mobile application ("the App"). By using OurHome you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Who We Are
KN Studios is an independent app developer based in Norway. We are subject to Norwegian privacy law (Personopplysningsloven) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any privacy related questions contact us at ourhome.support@gmail.com.
3. What Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide the OurHome service:
Account Data:
Full name
Email address
Password (encrypted, never stored in plain text)
Authentication provider (Apple, Google, or email)
Household Data:
Household name
Household events, dates, times and locations
Shared lists and list items
Status updates posted by household members
Household member profiles and avatar colors
Technical Data:
Push notification tokens (to send you notifications)
Device locale and language preference
App usage data for bug fixing and performance
Error logs for technical improvements
Payment Data:
Subscription status and plan type
We never store credit card details — all payments processed by Apple App Store and RevenueCat
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your data only to provide and improve OurHome:
To create and manage your account
To sync household data between members in real time
To send push notifications about household activity
To process your subscription via RevenueCat and Apple
To provide customer support when you contact us
To fix bugs and improve app performance
To comply with legal obligations
We never use your data for advertising. We never sell your data to third parties. We never share your data with anyone except the service providers listed below.
5. Third Party Services
OurHome uses these trusted third party services to operate:
Supabase — database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers in the EU. Privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
RevenueCat — subscription and payment management. Handles subscription status only, never your full payment details. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
Apple — App Store distribution, Apple Sign In, push notifications and payment processing. Privacy policy: apple.com/privacy
Google — Google Sign In only. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Expo — mobile app development platform used for push notification delivery. Privacy policy: expo.dev/privacy
6. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on Supabase servers located in the European Union
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
Passwords are encrypted using industry standard hashing
Row Level Security is enabled — users can only access their own household data
We regularly review our security practices
In the event of a data breach we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by GDPR
7. Your GDPR Rights
As a user in Norway and the EU you have these rights:
Right to Access — you can request a copy of all data we hold about you
Right to Correction — you can update your name and email in Profile Settings at any time
Right to Deletion — you can delete your account and all associated data permanently in Profile Settings → Delete Account. This removes all your data from our systems within 30 days.
Right to Portability — you can request an export of your data by emailing ourhome.support@gmail.com
Right to Object — you can turn off non-essential notifications in Profile Settings at any time
Right to Withdraw Consent — you can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

8. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active
If you delete your account all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
Anonymous usage statistics may be retained for up to 12 months for performance analysis
Legal records may be retained longer if required by Norwegian law
9. Children's Privacy
OurHome is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data contact us at ourhome.support@gmail.com and we will delete it immediately.
10. Push Notifications
We send push notifications to keep your household in sync. You can turn off specific notification types in Profile Settings → Notifications at any time. You can also turn off all notifications in your iPhone Settings → OurHome → Notifications.
11. No Advertising
OurHome does not display advertisements. We do not use advertising networks. We do not track you for advertising purposes. We do not share your data with advertisers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email. Continued use of OurHome after changes means you accept the updated policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using OurHome you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree do not use the app.
2. The Service
OurHome is a household management app that allows couples, families and shared households to coordinate schedules, share lists and stay informed about household activity. KN Studios reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Your Account
You must be at least 13 years old to use OurHome
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must provide accurate information when creating your account
One person may not create multiple accounts to abuse the free trial
4. Subscriptions and Payments
OurHome offers a 14-day free trial for new users
After the trial a subscription is required to continue using premium features
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store
Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
You can cancel your subscription at any time in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → OurHome
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods except where required by law
KN Studios reserves the right to change subscription prices with 30 days notice
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use OurHome for any illegal purpose
Share your account with people outside your household
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer or disrupt the service
Upload harmful, offensive or illegal content
Create fake accounts or abuse the free trial system
Use the app to harass or harm other users
6. Household Data
You own the data you create in OurHome
By using OurHome you grant KN Studios a limited license to store and process your data to provide the service
We do not claim ownership of your household data
When you delete your account your data is permanently deleted
7. Limitation of Liability
OurHome is provided as is without warranty of any kind. KN Studios is not liable for:
Loss of data due to technical failures
Missed events or appointments due to app issues
Any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app
Service interruptions or downtime
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes will be resolved in Norwegian courts.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of OurHome after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
