Rev. Johnny R. Calhoun, CEO

Rev. Johnny R. Calhoun is the Founder & Executive Director of Our Creeks & Conservancy. As a Master Watershed Steward, he has a passion to conserve the environment, while working to improve diversity within the environmental community, as well as the involvement of underserved communities. He has served as the Program Director of the Annapolis/Anne Arundel County Restoring the Environment And Developing Youth (READY) Summer Jobs Program. Rev. Calhoun has also launched several initiatives including: Black is the New Green, Jr. Watershed Stewards & the LEAP Program (Learning & Exploring Afterschool Program). Working with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and the Anne Arundel Watershed Stewards Academy, he was instrumental in facilitating the installation of BMPs at over fifteen underserved community houses of worship, resulting also in the certification of a record number of Master Watershed Stewards from minority communities. Rev. Calhoun currently serves as the Pastor of Mount Olive AME Church in Annapolis MD.
