PURPOSE:
The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) is a school-based environmental co-curricular organization in the Philippines with the primary purpose of safeguarding, protecting, and conserving the environment for future generations. Its main activities include increasing environmental awareness, organizing tree planting and growing, implementing waste management and recycling programs, conducting clean-up drives, and participating in environmental forums and summer camps.
Environmental Protection & Conservation:
To safeguard and conserve the environment for the future.
Awareness Creation:
To create awareness about the state of the Philippine environment and ecology and related issues.
Program Implementation:
To establish and implement programs, projects, and activities to address environmental and ecological issues.
Community Engagement:
To encourage community participation in environmental movements and actions.
ACTIVITIES:
Tree Planting and Growing: Undertaking projects to plant and grow trees in school and community areas.
Waste Management & Recycling: Implementing programs for waste segregation, reduction, and recycling, including transforming waste into entrepreneurial products.
Clean-Up Drives: Organizing clean-up activities within and outside school premises.
Environmental Awareness Campaigns: Conducting campaigns to educate students and the community on environmental issues and sustainable practices.
Environmental Forums: Hosting forums to discuss environmental concerns and solutions.
Networking and Collaboration: Networking with other organizations to support environmental programs and initiatives.
Participation in Youth for Environment Summer (YES) Camp: Attending the annual camp to report on activities and monitor progress.
Eco-Entrepreneurship: Engaging in income-generating recycling projects.
