The production of artificial agarwood requires a meticulous approach. Initially, wounds are created by drilling into the trunk of Aquilaria trees, followed by the insertion of a steel implement deeply into the trunk. A carefully prepared blend of agarwood-inducing compounds is then injected into the wound. Over a period of 4 to 5 years, Sanai, the valuable agarwood, emerges through the interaction of rainwater with the tree resin, leading to the generation of agarwood oil.
