Postdocs
Dr. Sadagopan is a post-doctoral associate with the MAE department at Cornell University with research interests in the intersection of data-driven modeling of dynamical systems and fluid dynamics. He received his Ph.D. (2024) and M.S. (2019) in aerospace engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a B. Tech. (2016) in aerospace engineering from Amrita University, India. On a lighter note, he likes to supplement his scientific exploration with hiking, badminton, and playing the piano :)

Ph.D Students
Hu is a first year Ph.D student in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University, with research interest in learning effective surrogate models of high-dimensional dynamical system using operator learning and related methods. He received his M.S. (2018) and B. Eng. (2015) from Tsinghua University in China. Hu is a big fan of soccer games and has also started enjoying watching ice hockey. One of his dreams is to be able to control flames.

Ameh is a first-year Ph.D student in the Department of Chemical Engineering, currently conducting research in the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University. His research focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to develop robust reduced-order models for fluid dynamics and dynamical systems. He holds a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan, Russia (2024). Outside of academics, Ameh enjoys cooking Nigerian Jollof rice and playing basketball.

Esther is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Center for Applied Mathematics at Cornell University, where she explores adjoint-free operator learning. She earned her B.S. in Mathematics (2022) from Georgia Tech. Outside of research, you can probably find her in the pool—she's an avid swimmer with dreams of becoming a triathlete. Lately, she’s also been learning salsa casino and is always up to trying something new.

Saba is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University. Her research lies at the intersection of machine learning and computational fluid dynamics, with a focus on developing faster and more efficient CFD solvers. She earned her B.Sc. (2020) and M.Sc. (2022) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran. Outside of research, Saba enjoys water activities, traveling, and discovering new foods with her cute golden retriever, Ginger!
