Available Programs

A program for students and specialists on the genetics, anatomy, and developmental biology of Drosophila melanogaster (© Paulo A. Otto)[~6 MB]. The program works quite well up to the XP version of Windows, but on later versions can run only with the help of software able to produce a virtual partition of the computer memory to accommodate any of the prior versions of Windows (as is the case of the excellent popular program VirtualBox that can be downloaded from the internet).

2. Statistical Distributions

   Exact probability values of the Gaussian, t, F and chi-squared distributions (© Paulo A. Otto & Andrea R. V. R. Horimoto)[334 kB].

3. Noonan-CFC Syndrome Differential Diagnosis

A program that performs the differential diagnosis between Noonan and CFC syndromes based on the frequency of signs and symptoms common to both conditions (© Andrea R. V. R. Horimoto, Paulo A. Otto & Samaris C. Jorge) [1.92 MB].

4. PenCalcWeb

An web-based program for estimating the value of the penetrance rate of autosomal dominant diseases and for calculating the heterozygosis probability and the offspring risk for any individual belonging to a genealogy with cases of the condition (© Marcio T. Onodera, Andrea R. V. R. Horimoto & Paulo A. Otto). Freely available (using Internet Explorer) at the www site  http://www.usp.br/pencalcweb/web/

5. PenCalc

A Windows program for estimating the value of the penetrance rate of autosomal dominant diseases from a genealogy with cases of the condition (© Andrea R. V. R. Horimoto & Paulo A. Otto) [PenCalc.zip (4.6 MB)]

6. HW_TEST

A Windows program for testing the hypothesis of Hardy-Weinberg proportions in population samples with genotypes determined by 2 to 12 autosomal alleles. Several different statistical methods are used, including bootstrap computer simulations(© Fernando B. Santos, Renan B. Lemes & Paulo A. Otto)  . Also available at https://github.com/Lemes-RenanB/HardyWeinbergTesting.
