Carrot Creation (“we”, “us”, “our”) developed the mobile game Otter Springs (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
In short: Otter Springs is a single-player puzzle game with no account and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email, or other personal contact details, and we do not sell your data. Your game progress is saved only on your device. We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data so we can improve the game. We do not show ads or collect the advertising ID.
No personal contact information. The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, or photos.
On-device game data. Your progress, stars, settings, and in-game items are saved locally on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App.
Analytics data. Through Google Firebase Analytics we collect anonymous usage information — for example which levels are played, which features are used, app performance and diagnostics, general device information (device model, operating system version, and an approximate region derived from your IP address), and a non-advertising app-instance identifier. We do not collect the advertising ID.
We use analytics data only to understand how the game is played and to improve it (for example, to find levels that are too hard or features that need work). We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not sell it.
The App currently contains no third-party advertising and does not collect the advertising ID. If advertising is ever added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before any ads appear.
We use Google Firebase Analytics, which processes analytics data on our behalf. Please review Google’s practices here: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information.
Internet & network state — used only to send anonymous analytics when a connection is available. The game plays fully offline.
Vibration — for gentle haptic feedback while you play.
Notifications — for optional friendly reminders (e.g. your daily puzzle). You can turn these off at any time in your device settings.
Otter Springs is family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal contact information from children or anyone else. The analytics we collect is anonymous usage data and is not used to personally identify any player.
Analytics data is encrypted in transit. Firebase retains analytics data according to Google’s standard retention settings. Your on-device game data is permanently removed when you uninstall the App. To request deletion of the analytics data associated with your device, contact us at the email below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date above.
