Through my internship with Capital Area Pediatrics (CAP), I immersed myself in social media content creation, digital media behind the scenes in the office, and more. I increased engagement significantly on the Capital Area Pediatrics social media pages while educating myself about the digital content creation world and connecting with others throughout the Northern Virginia area. Through social media content creation, CAP wanted to foster community and create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and families in and out of the office.
In the spring of 2024, I interned for Interface Media Group in Washington, DC. I was able to be a production assistant on It's Academic! and interviews for the Obama Foundation. I also worked with many of the post-production teams at IMG to learn more about editing sofrware like ProTools.
In August of 2023, I was presented with the opportunity to intern on Capitol Hill at only seventeen years old. I learned a lot about communicating with those with opposing beliefs, responsibility, and political campaigns. I hope to use this knowledge to produce political or social justice oriented media in the future.
Throughout high school, I interned as a photographer for Hockey Night in NOVA and helped them promote high school hockey in Northern Virginia. My photos were used on their social media pages as well as my school's to foster community and gain attendance at games.
