STUDENT GUIDELINES

YOU HAVE

• The right to learn without disruption from your classmates
• The responsibility to allow others to learn without disruption

ALWAYS

• Respect everyone and their property
• Be polite: use positive language, no put downs or offensive language

BEFORE ENTERING THE CLASSROOM

• Make sure you are on time
• Cell phones in bags on silent unless teacher advises you need them out.
• Eat at lunch or morning tea, make sure your mouth is empty in class
• Uniform excellent – permit ready to show teacher

ON ENTERING CLASSROOM

• Bags on floor under table
• Books out and ready
• Quiet
• Wait and LISTEN

DURING THE LESSON

• Raise your hand to speak
• Listen, no interrupting peers or teacher
• Follow your teacher’s instructions
• If you are allowed to sip it must be WATER
• Remain focused and engaged throughout the lesson

DISMISSAL

• Wait for your teacher to tell you that the lesson is over
• Clean up after your class session – put rubbish in appropriate bins
• Pack your bag and wait quietly behind your desks for dismissal
• At the end of the day, chairs up and close windows
