Kaupapa

ŌGG aims to create resources that promote live music events and increase accessibility to participatory music culture in Christchurch. We are passionate about creating opportunities for social and cultural connection through music.

Sources & Information

We use a number of sources in creating our guides, including UTR, Eventbrite, Eventfinda, Humanitix, Facebook, venue websites, and other smaller promoter sites. We take pride in having accurate information; however errors may happen from time to time. 

Genre information is iffy but the best we can do, based on our sources.

What gigs are included?

The Gig Guide currently prioritises ticketed, original music events where the music is the main focus. If a gig hasn't been included, it likely either 1. doesn't meet our criteria or 2. did not appear on our sources. Cover gigs are included at our discretion.

What's next?

We have lots of ideas in the pipeline, including...

• Venue list and guides (in progress)

• Pub gig guide (including covers)- to find live music all week

• Gig guide sorting, filtering, venue mapping and additional functionality

• Community music group guide (check out CINCH)

• Additional resources for local musicians
