We appreciate your feedback on adoption meet and greets to ensure a good fit for the pet and the possible new family. With puppies and kittens, we need your help with obedience and potty training. You will be expected to schedule and transport animals to the vet, but we will take care of the bill, including any medications. Sometimes we need longer term foster placements for older pets to ensure they a have a safe, loving end of life experience. Know your limits - if you are uncomfortable, can't keep up with the care, or if the animal is having trouble getting along with others (pets or people), let us know so we can find a better fit. No worries, there are always other pets waiting to foster.
As far as your pets care, it is important that all pets are up to date with vaccinations and fixed (spayed or neutered).
Remember: Letting go frees you up to care for another animal that needs a safe space. It can sometimes be easier if you foster an animal that you would not normally adopt. You can always ask for follow up stories and photos. People that adopt often LOVE to share about their fur babies!!
