In late 2015, my interest in photography was reignited when my children started playing basketball.
Having previously studied photography in my younger years, I have always found enjoyment from the art. However, family and work commitments left me not even owning a camera. A family holiday in late 2014 prompted me to invest in a basic camera however, again, I found myself invested in family and work. When my kids started playing basketball, I thought I'd dig out the camera and give it a shot to see what I could achieve. My original interest, aside from my kids, was the challenge of achieving a sharp photograph in a dark and dull games hall. After starting to experiment with different settings and a bit of further research, I was improving.
I continued improving for many months before deciding to buy a new lens to further the improvement. Before long I took the brave decision to swap manufacturer, not a cheap endeavour as anyone in the photography world will tell you!
As I'm sure you've seen by now, or perhaps have even used one of my photographs, they have improved massively. Featuring in many press articles and Basketball Scotland social media posts, my photographs have now had more views than I can comprehend. And here I am 6500 photographs later!
However, I am a perfectionist. I am never completely happy with my photographs and wish continuously look to improve them. As a result of this, my time commitment has risen massively and so has the cost of the equipment. Natural degradation, wear and tear and accidents means my equipment needs replacing. I realise that not everyone is in position to support me in this endeavour to perfection but if you are able to help me out or used/asked for a watermark free and high resolution copy, I would be incredibly thankful for your support.
Many Thanks
Andrew,
