2025 - 2026 Audition Dates

Wednesday, 8/27: Audition Application + Solo Music Submission Deadline

Thursday, 8/28: Solo Audition

Sunday, 8/31: Callback Audition

Monday, 9/1: Individual Interview + Final Callback Audition

Solo Audition: The first portion of auditions for The Ohio State University Club Dance Team will consist of a preliminary solo audition. All dancers auditioning for the 2025 - 2026 Club Dance Team will be asked to showcase a 1 minute solo (jazz, contemporary, or hip hop style) for the coaching staff. After the solo audition, all candidates will receive an email on Friday, August 29th at 12pm EST with a list of dancers who will be invited to the callback audition.

Callback Audition: The callback audition will be focused on jazz choreography and hip hop choreography, which will be taught on the day of the audition. Dancers will also be asked to execute certain technical skills which will be taught to them on the day of the callback audition. 

Technique Requirements: 

• Triple + Quadruple Pirouettes

• Advanced turns in a la seconde with changing spots

• Leaps + Jumps: Tilts, Firebird, Calypso

• Right aerial

Additional Recommended Technique: 

• Left aerial, front aerial

• Front / back handspring

• Rubberband

• Back tuck

• Webster

• Butterfly

All candidates will receive an email on Sunday, August 31st by 11pm EST notifying them if they will be invited to the individual interview and final callback audition.

Interview: Let the coaching staff get to know you during a brief 5 minute interview! 

Final Audition: Immediately following the interview portion of the audition, all remaining candidates will participate in a final callback audition consisting of additional jazz and hip hop choreography.
