Need funding to start digital programming? Here are grant resources with rolling deadlines to help you fund your out of school time programming.
Grantees must have a current 501(c)(3) Public Charity status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), be a government entity, or be an IRS-recognized tribe. Inquiries from a private foundation, as defined in Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code, will not be reviewed. Valid charitable credentials and a three-year history of 990 forms are verified using Guide Star Charity Check, a comprehensive due diligence tool.
Organizations must be a:
Nonprofit or non-governmental organization with recognized legal status in their respective country (equal to 501(c)(3) status under the United States Internal Revenue Code);
Public library that provides general library services without charge to all residents of a given community, district or region; or
Public museum, including public or private institutions, open to the public, that conserve and exhibit tangible objects for purposes of cultural preservation, education, or aesthetic enjoyment.
If your organization does not meet these criteria, it is not currently eligible.

To be considered for an invitation, an organization must be: Classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and further classified as a public charity under section 509(a)(1)-509(a)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as follows:
Not duplicate or significantly overlap the work of public agencies on the federal, state or local level.
Keep books available for regular independent outside audit and make the results available to all potential contributors.
Comply with applicable laws regarding registration and reporting.
Observe the highest standards of business conduct in its relationships with the public.
An organization that wants to apply for this grant must compose a formal proposal with specific requirements. For a proposal to be considered by the Westinghouse Charitable Giving Advisory Board, not only must it meet one of our strategic areas of giving, but the following information must be submitted in the organization’s proposal in one PDF file.
