Learning is important to my goals as I need to expand my knowledge base for the jobs I want. Also, as I learn things, I will be able to network with the people in my field and show that I am knowledgeable about the field. Finally, learning can help me build my confidence, as I will be able to trust in what I know and be able to apply it easily. I want to be that person who has a good knowledge of things, whether it be for the workplace or for my personal life and help others with my knowledge.
In this class, I want to have a good understanding of the material as I learn it. I think I can get a do that by getting assignments done on time without stressing, especially from the homework practice assignments. I was prepared for most assignments in this class, and I try to start them earlier in the week, so I don’t have to worry about time constraints as much. I think that where I have room for improvement is in settings reminders for when my assignments are due, as there have been sometimes where I had turned in one portion, thinking I did the other but did not. To combat that, I’ll try and set more reminders and double check.
For my benchmark performance, I think I did well. I did even better in class than I did on the webwork portion, which surprised me. I was not able to find the feedback for the webwork portion. I went to assignments and on webwork and it won’t let me see what I got wrong. For my in-class portion, I missed the last part of the quadratic functions portion, and didn't show enough work for the system of equations portion for the last few problems. I will prepare for the try by first correcting the sections I got wrong, and then doing some similar example problems on webwork or a similar platform. Once I see my feedback, I think I will retry as it can’t hurt, and Id like to go from a B to an A.
