Osher at RIT

Zoom Video Conference Resource Site

During the  COVID-19 Outbreak clases at both the Henrietta and Penfield sites have been cancelled. In order to continue our program the Osher Council has decided to employ the Zoom Video/Audio Conferencing System. Zoom has become the system of choice for businesses, educational entities and personal use during the outbreak. It is simple to use, provides a reliable service; and is free to use for virtually all of our members. It works through the internet and therefore works on Windows machines, MAC's, iOS, and  Android devices.  It works best with a higher speed internet connection and a video camera, but can be used even with a landline telephone (admittedly the experience in this mode does not provide the best end-user experience).

We  are taking these steps in order to continue our program during the current crisis..  We are currently training Course Leaders and Wizards in home to best use the platform for courses. Future emails will give instructions to the general membership on how to use the platform to take a course.
