"Randall made our guided trip very informative as he is SO intune with nature of the area. Very calm and full of knowledge, made our day trip very educational and also assisted us getting some wonderful photos just with our phones and his tripod device". Janice J - VAE
"I would highly recommend Randall Alberto Ruiz Arce if you're looking for an experienced guide in the Puerto Jiménez/Corcovado area. Photography is my hobby. That makes traveling in a group impossible. On our Costa Rica trip, Randall took me places where I could photograph poison dart frogs, sloths, monkeys, birds, iguanas, unusual plants, etc. I was able to go at my pace and take all the photos I wanted. I even took several photos through his spotting scope. Randall answered the hundreds of questions I had. His prices are very reasonable and you won't be disappointed." "Our guide Randall picked us up from La Paloma Lodge in the morning and immediately started with fascinating background information about La Paloma and the animals and plants that live on the grounds. He escorted us down to the boat, where we headed off to the San Pedrillo ranger station in Corcovado National Park....." Leane, Phoenix, Arizona - USA
"I met Randall during my breakfast at the hostel when he was looking for two more clients to join him into Corcovado national park. On the next day, we hiked into the park from la Leona to la Sirena, then spent a day in the vicinity of la Sirena and the last day hiking out again via la Leona. All in all it was a fun trip. We saw whole bunch of animals and plants that Randall always had something to tell about. The highlight was a Tapir coming within a few meters of us. We only had to carry food and clothes, so a daypack was enough. The whole trip is not cheap, but totally worth it." 'iceflo', Mexico
"After a while we arrived the coast of Matapalo. Yes, right. This laid-back town does not only offer nearly as many animals as the huge Corcovado Park, it also has some beautiful pristine beaches. We didn’t need to share the crystal clear, warm water and the bright sand with nobody. A bath in the sea was exactly what we needed in the moment: welcomed refreshment after hours of hiking and exploring countless animals of the wildlife. This mixture of active hiking and time to relax at the beach made this tour a wonderful day trip." (...)
"[Randall] offers his guidance in English, but his clear and slow way of speaking is a perfect opportunity to improve your Spanish." Carina Ebert
