OPT-OUT INSTRUCTIONS
1) Targeted Advertising:
You can opt out of targeted advertising in our app by adjusting your device’s ad tracking settings. This disables personalized ads by withdrawing consent to use your usage data for advertising purposes. While this does not eliminate ads entirely, it prevents ads from being tailored to your interests.
Opting out may result in fewer ads for products and brands that align with your preferences. This setting affects ad relevance, making ads less personalized on Google services and partner platforms.
To opt out of targeted advertising, visit:
https://myadcenter.google.com/home
2) Sale of Personal Data:
We do not sell personal data, so no opt-out process is required in this regard.
3) Profiling with Legal Consequences:
Our app does not engage in profiling with legal consequences. We prioritize user privacy and comply with the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA).
We respect your rights as a consumer and provide these opt-out instructions to help you make informed choices about targeted advertising while safeguarding your personal data. For questions or concerns, contact us through our support channels.

Information Collection and Use
AdMob
Google Analytics for Firebase
GOOGLE ADSENSE:
Google AdSense is used to show tailored ads in our apps, helping to fund our development when the apps are offered for free. User information, such as IP addresses, is collected by Google AdSense to bill advertisers and to identify ad clicks and fraudulent behavior. IP addresses are made anonymous after 9 months. To learn more about Google AdSense and how to opt out of personalized ads, visit Google AdSense technologies partner sites.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS FOR FIREBASE:
Our applications use Google Analytics for Firebase to analyze user interactions, helping us enhance the app in ways that matter most to users. Anonymous data about user activity is automatically transmitted to Google Analytics for Firebase servers. This includes Mobile Ad IDs, IDFVs/Android IDs, Instance IDs, Analytics App Instance IDs, and barcode formats (such as EAN, UPC, QR, etc.). For additional details, refer to the Data Collection section. The transmitted data does not include the content of scanned barcodes or any personally identifiable information like names, email addresses, or phone numbers. Data linked to IDs is retained for 60 days, while aggregated reports and campaign data are stored for up to 14 months. You can disable data collection in the settings of our barcode scanner apps by turning off the "Usage statistics" option.
FIREBASE REMOTE CONFIG:
Custom app settings for users are managed through Firebase Remote Config, which allows for features such as region-specific website links. Firebase Remote Config utilizes Instance IDs to determine the appropriate configuration settings sent to user devices. These Instance IDs are retained for a maximum of 180 days.
