# Orva AI — Support & Privacy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Orva AI provides AI chat, web research, image generation, downloadable code and text files, food-label tools and subscriptions. This page explains support options and how information is handled. The current app does not record microphone audio or support audio or video analysis uploads.
## Support
For help with your account, AI requests, files or subscriptions, email **orvaaai@gmail.com**. Describe the problem and include the error message and app version where possible. Remove unnecessary personal information from screenshots. Never send passwords, API keys, verification codes or payment-card details.
## Information we collect and how we use it
We receive information you provide when you create an account, sign in, send an AI request, select a photo or file, save information in the app, make a purchase or contact support.
Depending on the feature, this includes:
- Account identifiers, name and email supplied through your sign-in method, used for authentication and account management.
- Messages, relevant conversation context, goals, tool instructions and selected files or photos, used to answer your requests.
- Personal or health information you choose to include in those requests.
- Saved conversations, generated images and files, preferences, usage counters and confirmed food-label information, used to provide the app’s features and restore your saved content.
- Purchase identifiers and subscription status, used to verify paid access.
- Support emails and attachments, used to investigate and respond to your request.
Our hosting, authentication and payment service providers may also process network and technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot their services, such as IP addresses, request times and error records.
## Permission before AI data sharing
Before sending an AI request, Orva AI displays an in-app explanation of the data being shared and the providers receiving it, and asks for your permission. Camera or photo access permission is separate from permission to share information with AI services.
You can decline AI sharing and continue using features that do not require it. You can withdraw permission in **Profile & Settings → AI data sharing**. Withdrawal stops future AI requests; it cannot recall information already sent. A request to use a newly disclosed AI provider requires the updated permission to be accepted.
## Anthropic — Claude
Orva sends AI requests to **Anthropic (Claude)** through the Orva backend. Depending on the request, Anthropic receives:
- Your message and relevant goals or tool instructions.
- Up to 12 recent conversation messages when conversation memory is enabled.
- The contents of photos or supported files you choose to submit, with file information needed to process them.
- Personal or health information you include in the submitted content.
- A scanned barcode or food query when you use AI-assisted food lookup.
Anthropic uses this information to generate answers, analyze supported content and produce requested code or text files. Generated website and Flutter/Dart files are source files: Orva does not automatically publish websites, install apps or compile APK/IPA packages.
For web research, Anthropic processes search terms derived from your request and may retrieve public web pages. Search services and destination websites may receive the query or URL and the technical information needed for retrieval. Avoid including private information, credentials or private links in search requests.
Provider retention depends on the service, account arrangements and applicable exceptions. See [Anthropic’s API data retention information](https://privacy.claude.com/en/articles/7996866-how-long-do-you-store-my-organization-s-data). We do not promise that all submitted content is deleted immediately or processed only on your device.
## Black Forest Labs — FLUX image generation
When you request a new image and have accepted the relevant AI-sharing disclosure, Orva sends a text description derived from your request to **Black Forest Labs (FLUX)** through the Orva backend. This description may include personal details you explicitly ask the image to depict.
The current FLUX integration sends the image description, not your uploaded files, sign-in token or full conversation history. Black Forest Labs processes the description to generate an image. Orva downloads the result and returns it to the app for display and local conversation storage. You can choose to export the image to Files.
Black Forest Labs handles submitted information under its applicable service terms and [Privacy Policy](https://bfl.ai/legal/privacy-policy). Retention and deletion can depend on the purpose of processing and legal obligations; we do not promise a fixed deletion period for every record.
## Other service providers
- **Render:** hosts the Orva backend and handles requests passing through it, including submitted content and the sign-in token attached to signed-in requests.
- **Firebase Authentication and your selected sign-in provider, including Apple or Google:** support sign-in, account management and security.
- **RevenueCat and the App Store:** process purchase identifiers and subscription status to verify paid access. Orva does not receive your full payment-card details.
- **Open Food Facts and other food-lookup services used by the app:** may receive a barcode or product query to retrieve food information.
The current AI integrations use Anthropic and Black Forest Labs. OpenAI is not used by the current Orva AI integration.
## Service-provider protection and international processing
Orva requires third parties receiving personal information to provide protection equivalent to that described in this policy, including appropriate security, confidentiality, purpose-limited processing and support for applicable deletion requests. We do not sell your personal information.
Information may be processed outside your country by our service providers. Provider terms, retention requirements and applicable legal safeguards govern that processing. Contact us if you have questions about a provider or an international transfer.
## Storage and retention
Saved conversations, including generated images and downloadable files, preferences, usage counters and other saved app records are stored locally and associated with the relevant account. The confirmed food-label catalog stores reviewed text and numbers rather than the original label photos.
The current Orva backend processes uploaded files in memory and does not intentionally save uploaded image files to its disk. Generated images and files are returned to the app. This does not mean that providers keep no records: hosting logs, operational records, security records, support correspondence and purchase records may be retained for their respective purposes or legal obligations.
Local records remain until you remove them using the app’s controls or delete the relevant app data. Files or images you export to Files or another destination are separate copies and must be removed from that destination. Copies on other devices or in backups may also require separate removal.
## Health and nutrition information
Orva provides general information and helps explain food labels. It is not a medical service and does not provide professional diagnosis or treatment. Verify nutrition information against the original label and discuss important health decisions with a qualified professional. Share only the health information necessary for your request.
## Subscriptions and purchases
Manage or cancel an App Store subscription through the Apple account used to purchase it. Deleting Orva AI or deleting your Orva account does not cancel your subscription. Subscription prices, renewal terms and included features are displayed in the app’s purchase flow. Refund requests are handled under the applicable store rules and your statutory rights.
## Your choices and account deletion
You can choose what to send, turn conversation memory off, withdraw AI-sharing permission and manage camera and photo access through device settings.
To delete your account in the app, open **Profile & Settings** and select **Delete account**. Follow the confirmation and any required reauthentication steps. This removes your Firebase authentication account and associated local account records on the current device. It does not automatically erase exported files, copies on other devices, purchase records or information previously sent to providers.
If you cannot access the app, or want help with data previously submitted to service providers, email **orvaaai@gmail.com** with the subject **“Orva AI Account Deletion Request”**. Include the email address associated with your account, but not your password or verification codes. We may ask you to verify account ownership.
We will handle requests within applicable legal time limits and explain any information that must be retained, such as records required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention or accounting. We will explain the outcome and any additional steps needed for provider-held information. Deletion requests do not automatically cancel store subscriptions.
## Changes and contact
We may update this page when our features or data practices change. The revision date above identifies this version. Material changes to AI data sharing will also be reflected in the app’s disclosure and permission flow.
