All of the weavings we sell are made from 100 percent wool which is pigmented through a soaking process in natural vegetable dyes. They are produced on a two-foot pedal loom which was was introduced to the Zapotec weavers by the Spanish. This weaving technique in the southwest dates back to the early 1600's.
