The term ORTHOPTIC means ‘straight eyes’, originating from the Greek words ‘orth’, meaning straight, and ‘optics’, which relates to the eye.
It is the study of the development of vision, lazy eye, depth perception, eye movements, eye alignment and the ability to use the eyes as a pair.
